Language that Connects the World

As an IB senior, I’ve seen how languages open doors, helping us connect, celebrate who we are, and prepare for our futures. Today, more than 260 million people around the world speak Portuguese, yet the College Board still does not offer an AP course for it. The AP Portuguese Project was born from the belief that Lusophone students in the U.S. deserve the same opportunities as those studying other major languages. This project is not just about academics; it’s about identity, culture, and opening doors for future generations.
